"Gossip Girl" Queen Bee, Leighton Meester, provided some much needed glamour to the Library Lions Benefit last night in New York City. Escorted by her "Gossip Girl" co-star boyfriend, Sebastian Stan, the beautiful couple stood out in a sea of literary guests at the New York Public Library.
But who could focus on library books once Leighton Meester arrived wearing a show stopping Prabal Gurung exploding bow dress.
The blue brush painted rose silk twill gazar dress is from Gurung's Spring / Summer 2010 collection and mixes the style of his exploding bow polka dot dress with a different fabric.
The mix and match ended up perfect.
Meester paired the statement dress with black Roger Vivier rosette heels for an ultra-fem and simply stunning overall look.
Anyone who knows me will confirm that I am bow obsessed and have rocked huge neck bows for years.
When I saw Prabal's Spring / Summer 2010 presentation I was bowled over because it felt like the exploding bows were meant for me. Someone who I'd never met had actually captured the romantic curvature of a neck bow and made it "explode" so it becomes THE statement piece.
Did he read my mind?
If you recall, during New York Fashion Week I labeled Prabal Gurung "The One to Watch" and gushed over his bow neck blouse and dress.
I am thrilled to see that Hollywood is embracing his extraordinary talent.
Prabal is the real deal!
