Nothing could be more fitting then Betsey Johnson's Fashion Show taking place on Valentines Day. Taking place at the Altman Building downtown, the space took a complete 180 degree turnaround from previous shows.
With dark stadium seats, a runway pedaled with hay, and neon Betsey signs, the area was a show in its own. Star appearances were made by "Gossip Girl's" Matthew Settle and Kelly Osbourne who modeled a few pieces from the designers collection.
Her collection held true to a western theme, but it didn't stop there.
The Seating sections were separated by a "Kiss Kiss" side and a "Bang Bang" side.
Twist to the line was found in the clothing.
All held the western feel with capes, corsets and boots.
Some were in bright neon colors while others remained neutral.
Splashes of Charlie Chapman influences were found through her pieces as well.
Long-time Betsey fan and Dancing With The Stars contestant, Kelly Osbourne showed off her new slim figure in two outfits.
The best part of her extravagant show was the McQueen tribute.
The last piece, or so we thought, exited the runway and the lights dimmed.
Cameras were showered everywhere preparing to capture the designers walk and the final run through.
Instead, a final dress came down the runway.
A male model held a sign saying, "Long Live McQueen". The entire crowd was on their feel, whistling, clapping and capturing photos.
Afterward, the models swarmed out to reveal the entire collection carrying inflated hearts, of coarse.
Betsey appeared on the catwalk wearing stripped pajamas a hat and a mustache.
She did a couple cartwheels and that was that.
Oh Betsey, how we love you so!
