Details have been released pertaining to the late designer, Alexander Lee McQueen.
Word of his death traveled at the speed of light, hitting Blackberrys and iPhones everywhere Thursday morning, the first day of New York's Fashion week.
Moments of silence were held at many shows as well as tributes.
Betsey Johnson final piece paid respect to the designer, with a sign inscribed with 'Long Live McQueen' while window displays in his NYC stores held tributes.
Lady Gaga also paid respect to her friend and fellow designer in her acceptance speech at Brit Awards saying, "Thank you to Lee McQueen.
The fashion icon was found hanging in his wardrobe February 11. A suicide note was also found at the scene, although its contents have not yet been revealed.
Asphyxiation and hanging were cited as the cause of death.

This is perhaps the saddest and most eerie detail of the investigation.
His death is being treated as non-suspicious.
Days before taking his life, McQueen's Twitter page, which has since been deleted, was filled with grief relating to his mothers death.
"I'm letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumx" Later following with, "but life must go on!!!!!!!!!!" Sadly, life didn't go on. His family, now dealing with a double loss has asked for respect of their privacy in this hard time.
Details on the funeral have not yet been released.
