Gist:  Robert Reed Carradine (born March 24, 1954) is an American actor. He may be best known for portraying Lewis Skolnick in the successful Revenge of the Nerds series of comedy films and Sam McGuire on the Disney Channel sitcom Lizzie McGuire.

Life Facts:  Carradine was born in Hollywood, California, the son of actress and artist Sonia Sorel (née Henius) and actor John Carradine. He is the brother of Christopher Carradine and Keith Carradine, a paternal half-brother of Bruce Carradine and David Carradine and maternal half-brother of Michael Bowen. Carradine has two daughters, actress Ever Carradine (with Susan Snyder), Marica Reed Carradine with his wife Edie Mani, and a son, Ian Alexander Carradine. He is also the uncle of actress Martha Plimpton.

Career Facts:  Carradine made his film debut in 1972 in The Cowboys with John Wayne. He made an appearance as a killer in the Martin Scorsese film Mean Streets alongside his brother David; again with David in The Long Riders about the Jesse James Gang, and was in Massacre at Central High in 1976. He was in the successful Revenge of the Nerds series of films as the nerd Lewis Skolnick. He also played Lizzie's (Hilary Duff) father, Sam McGuire, on the Disney TV series Lizzie McGuire.
