Deborah Roberts
Best Known As: Journalist Gist: Deborah Roberts (born September 20, 1960) is an American journalist and television news correspondent. Life Facts: Roberts resides in Manhattan with her husband, NBC meteorologist Al Roker. They have daughter Leila (November 17, 1998) and son Nicholas (July 18, 2002), as well as Roker's daughter Courtney (1987) from his second marriage. Career Facts: In 1982, Roberts began her career at WTVM-TV in Columbus, Georgia, and then she moved on to work at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. From 1987-90, she served as bureau chief/NASA field reporter/weekend news co-anchor at WFTV-TV in Orlando, Florida. In 1990, she joined NBC News as a general assignment reporter and later served as a correspondent for Dateline NBC. Roberts moved to ABC News in 1995 as a correspondent for 20/20 and as a substitute anchor for World News Tonight Weekend and Good Morning America. In July and September 2006, she was also a guest host on The View.
